We built sparQ because we needed it.
sparQ is built by remarQable LLC — a small software team split between New York and Minnesota. We ran on ClickUp. We had no visibility into what our team was doing day to day. So we built the tool we were missing.
The problem we were solving
When you're in different cities, you lose the ambient awareness you'd have sitting in the same room. You can see the tasks in ClickUp. You can't tell if someone is heads-down, blocked, or just starting their day. Every check-in was either a meeting or a Slack message that felt like surveillance.
We wanted something that made the team visible without adding friction. A daily update that felt natural, not performative. An in/out board that replaced the "hey are you around?" ping.
We built sparQ for ourselves first. It works well enough that we think other teams should have it too.
What sparQ is (and isn't)
sparQ is the people layer for teams already running ClickUp, Asana, or Monday.com. It doesn't replace your PM tool. It fills the gap your PM tool leaves open — the team itself.
sparQ is built for small, salaried office teams. It's not workforce management software for shift workers. It's not an enterprise HR platform. It's the sync layer for small, fast, professional teams.

How we build
Small teams deserve great software — not watered-down enterprise tools.
Features earn their place. If it doesn't solve a real daily problem, it doesn't ship.
No dark patterns. No artificial feature gates. No growth hacking your inbox.
We dogfood everything. If we wouldn't use it, we don't build it.
