Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how remarQable LLC ("remarQable", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the sparQ platform and related services hosted at gosparq.com.

1. Overview

sparQ is a cloud-based team operations platform hosted by remarQable LLC. This Privacy Policy covers information we collect when you use sparQ, visit our website, or interact with us through support or other channels.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: Name, email address, and company name when you create an account.
  • Teamspace data: Content you create within sparQ, including updates, action items, documents, messages, and other data you enter into the platform.
  • Communications: Messages, feedback, and support requests you send us.
  • Payment information: If you purchase a paid plan, payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers.

2.2 Automatic Collection

  • Website analytics: We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use gosparq.com. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the "Manage Cookies" link in the site footer.
  • Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with sparQ, such as features used, pages visited, and actions taken. This helps us improve the product and provide support.
  • Device and connection information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and general location (city/country level) derived from your IP address.

We also use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies or collect personal data.

  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support
  • Improve sparQ based on aggregate, anonymized usage data

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Your Data in sparQ

Your teamspace data (updates, action items, documents, messages, and other content you create) belongs to you. We access it only as needed to provide the service, troubleshoot issues at your request, or comply with legal obligations. We do not use your teamspace data for advertising, marketing to third parties, or training AI models.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information only:

  • With service providers who help us operate (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery), bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • When required by law, such as in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or government request.
  • To protect rights and safety, if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of remarQable, our users, or the public.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information under our control, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest where applicable. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

  • Account information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter.
  • Teamspace data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
  • Usage data is retained in aggregate, anonymized form for product improvement purposes.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability

9. Children

sparQ is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

10. International Users

sparQ is operated from the United States. If you access sparQ from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or email.
